EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves’ performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric’s abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.

The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.

Care Instructions

Before first use, HexArmor Hercules 3180 Sharp Protection Gloves may feel a little stiff when you first wear them. This is because they are designed to become more flexible over time. To speed up this softening process, please follow these instructions:

• Wash the gloves in a washing machine cycle at 30°C and add a little fabric softener
• Repeat this process Leave the gloves to dry at room temperature over the course of a day

It is a good idea to wash your gloves periodically to prevent odour build-up. It is imperative you wash your gloves if they become coated in a substance or fluid that may be considered dangerous to you or others.
